Analyzing Keyword Performance

Your GEO score gives you the big picture, but the real insights live at the keyword level. This guide shows you how to analyze individual keyword performance, read the per-engine results table, and spot patterns that tell you where to focus your optimization efforts.

In this article:

Open the Search Terms Tab

From your visibility dashboard, select the Search Terms tab. This view breaks down your GEO score by individual keyword.

Scan the Keyword Score Grid

Each keyword has its own GEO score. This grid lets you quickly spot which search terms are driving the most AI visibility for your brand, and which ones need attention.

Keywords with high scores are your strengths. Low-scoring keywords represent gaps where competitors are likely getting mentioned instead of you.

Dive Into a Keyword

Select any keyword to see its full breakdown. Here you can see exactly which AI engines mentioned your brand for this search term, what position you appeared in, and whether the tone was positive, neutral, or negative.

Read the Per-Engine Results

The results table shows each engine as a row, with columns for:

  • Mentioned: Whether your brand appeared in the response.
  • Recommended: Whether the engine actively endorsed you.
  • Position: Where you appeared (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.).
  • Sentiment: The tone of the mention (positive, neutral, negative).
  • Competitors: Which other brands appeared in the same response.

This is the most granular view of your AI visibility. Use it to understand exactly how each engine treats your brand for a specific query.

Spot Patterns Across Keywords

Go back to the Search Terms view and look at the bigger picture. If comparison queries like "best X vs Y" consistently score low, that signals you need a comparison page on your website. If feature-specific questions score poorly, your product pages might need optimization for AI.

These patterns directly inform your action plan.
